About Steve
In 2000, Steve went to Ian Vandenberghe's yard in Oxfordshire as a spectator on a Kelly Marks' course and was so fascinated by what he learned that he stayed there for almost two years, assisting on courses, demo's and tours. During this time Steve also went on tour working with Monty Roberts, world renowned "horse whisperer". He is now an Intelligent Horsemanship Recommended Associate.
Then, after living and working in Cumbria for a couple of years, he moved to Scotland and now stays in Dunfermline, with frequent visits to the Cumbrian yard. Whilst shying away from the term horse whisperer, there is no doubt Steve can communicate with horses. Michaela is his wife and often accompanies him on visits.
Steve is impressed with the charitable work done at The New Arc and Mountains Animal Sanctuary and assists them with their horses on a voluntary basis.

LESSONS FROM YOUR HORSE:
"When you're tense, let me teach you that there are lions in the woods, and we need to leave. NOW!!"
"When you're short tempered,
let me teach you how to slog around the paddock for an
hour before you catch me."
"When you're short-sighted,
let me teach you to figure
out where, exactly, in
40 acres I'm hiding."
"When you're self-absorbed,
let me teach you to pay attention!! (I told you about those lions in the woods...)"
"When you're quick to react,
let me teach you that herbivores kick much faster than omnivores."
